Access facilities at Ancient House

The ground floor, shop, garden and toilet are accessible to wheelchair users. The museum has audio guides.   

There is currently scaffolding outside the building next door which restricts access to the museum for pushchairs, mobility scooters and wheelchairs. If this will affect your visit, please contact the museum on 01842 752599 so that we can advise further.

Admission

Visitors with access issues can bring a companion into Ancient House free of charge.

Assistance dogs 

Assistance dogs are very welcome. Ask for a bowl of water at the reception desk.  

Facilities for people with impaired hearing and sight

Accessible toilets 

There are wheel/pushchair accessible toilets along with baby changing facilities on the ground floor of the museum.
